# Individual and corporate verification

> Unlock Live and API access with the verification tier that fits your use.

## Access before verification

An unverified workspace can use the **sandbox console only**. Live mode is blocked on the server. Creating or using **any API key**, including sandbox keys, requires approved verification. Existing keys stop working when approval is revoked or suspended.

## Individual

No company is required. Submit your full legal name, date of birth, country, residential address, identity document and proof of address. After approval you may issue up to **500 cards per UTC calendar month**.

Completed issuance and unresolved requests count toward the limit. Failed requests do not. Concurrent requests cannot reserve the same remaining slot.

## Corporate

Complete individual identity verification and provide company registration, business activity, beneficial ownership and supporting company documents. Approved corporate workspaces have **no monthly card issuance quota**. Product limits, available funds and enabled capabilities still apply.

## Review states

| Status              | Meaning                                 |
| ------------------- | --------------------------------------- |
| `draft`             | Application not submitted               |
| `submitted`         | Awaiting review                         |
| `needs_information` | Additional or updated evidence required |
| `approved`          | Verified for the reviewed tier          |
| `rejected`          | Application declined                    |
| `suspended`         | Access restricted                       |

Changing identity details or verification type removes the previous approval and requires review. Changing interface language or timezone does not.

## Cardholders

Cardholders belong to one workspace and environment. Live issuance additionally requires a verified cardholder with complete billing information for the card program. Sandbox cardholders are verified for simulation only; they are not real verified identities.

## Activation

Verification unlocks eligibility for Live and API access. Cards, funding and services also need their individual capabilities and enabled integrations. A published endpoint does not imply that a live product is active for your workspace.
